Turkey to expel U.S. envoy and nine others for supporting release of jailed philanthropist

In a joint statement on October 18, 2021, the ambassadors of Denmark, Canada, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, New Zealand, Finland, and the United States had called for a just and speedy resolution to Kavala’s case, and for his ‘urgent release’.
